n the context of the 2018 Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), where the U.S. is the Honored
Country for 2018, the U.S. Embassy is collaborating with Found.ation and its educational arm
ISocialInnov in order to organize an Innovation Hub.
Its purpose is to promote innovation, technology, and start-up culture through workshops,
meetups, open discussions and seminars. Digital skills and coding courses, innovation workshops
and technology meetups are organized under the Tech Talent School initiative in a dedicated
"digital classroom area". The workshops and courses, covering a wide area of digital skills topics
from coding for kids to big data and from creating a digital CV to developing a MVP, will be open
to the public for free. Many of the workshops will be organized in collaboration with local
communities, supporting their efforts and highlighting their contribution to the country’s digital
future.
Every afternoon the Innovation Hub hosts a series of Innovation Talks in an "Ask me anything",
casual open session form, as well as workshops from VCs, established tech entrepreneurs and
prominent figures of the wider start up innovation ecosystem.
Our aim is to inspire and educate, to create a hub where technology talent is born, and where
founders meet their investors and next partners.
