The 23rd HealthWorld Conference -The Healthcare Sector in a Changing World: Are we ready? organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce was held on September 23 – 24, 2024 at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, and completed with outstanding success and participation of all HC sector stakeholders.
HealthWorld is traditionally organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce under the auspices of Greece’s Ministry of Health, the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE), the Association of Health Research and Biotechnology Industry (SEIV), PhRMA Innovation Forum (PIF), the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), and MedTech Europe.
HEALTHWORLD is an established HC policy forum where leading healthcare sector figures from Greece, Europe and the United States, senior policy makers and public officials from across the political spectrum, stakeholders from across Greece’s healthcare community, and high-level academics from Greece and abroad are participating and discussing key HC policy issues from a variety of perspectives, providing a broad spectrum of ideas and experience.
The challenges facing the Greek healthcare sector and the need for immediate and sustainable solutions, the unhindered access to innovation for all citizens, the HC system stability and value-based healthcare solutions that focuses at the patient’s long-term health rather than the individual disease, are fundamental conditions for the long-term development and sustainability of the country’s health system and were discussed in depth, during the conference, and with the continued commitment of the Minister to an open dialogue with the industry and the members of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.
