Last year marked the beginning of a new chapter for Bausch + Lomb. What exactly did that mean in Greece and globally?
That’s right. In 2022, our parent corporation, Bausch Health Companies Inc., spun off its leading eye health business into an independent publicly traded entity, Bausch + Lomb – NewCo. The segmentation helped improve strategic focus and allowed more room for Bausch Health to focus on expanding its leadership in gastroenterology, aesthetics/dermatology, neurology, and international pharma. At the local level, this led to the transformation of Bausch Health Greece into Bausch + Lomb Greece – a new, rebranded pharmaceutical organization, with a combined portfolio of eye and general health products.
What does Bausch + Lomb Greece stand for as a company in terms of its day-to-day operations and values, for example, as regards sustainability?
We approach sustainability as a big opportunity to have a positive impact, and we have taken significant steps to organize a robust ESG strategy and relevant programs, with the full participation of our board and leadership team.
