AmCham Energy Committee members and representatives held a fruitful dialogue on energy security and regional energy cooperation issues during a working luncheon with Francis R. Fannon, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Energy Resources, U.S Department of State, Geoffreey Pyatt, US Ambassador to Greece, and senior officers of the US Embassy Athens. As Assistant Secretary F. Fannon said, this second visit to Greece is indicative of the key role of the bilateral relations between the US and Greece and Greece’s upgraded role as an energy hub in the region. More specifically, they discussed latest developments in the energy sector and examined potential opportunities for US companies to partner/invest and transfer their expertise and know-how in order for Greece to become a diversified energy hub which besides the classical production and energy distribution could also develop new products and services of higher value.
