Executive Director Elias Spirtounias represented AmCham Greece at the Skopje Economic Finance Forum 2022, organized by the Ministry of Finance of North Macedonia in cooperation with AmCham North Macedonia at a panel discussion ‘Seizing Opportunities from Regional Cooperation and Euro-Atlantic Perspectives’ together with Dragan Davitkov from AmCham North Macedonia, Susan Danger from American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU), Peter Todorov Ivanov from AmCham Bulgaria, Ivan Miletic from AmCham Serbia and many other business leaders.
Elias Spirtounias had the opportunity to talk about the importance of interregional collaboration in Southeast Europe in many sectors of economy and particularly in the energy sector in view of Greece becoming a major energy hub and gateway for the region and Europe in extend, in times of seeking energy independence.
Participants highlighted the necessity of exploring business opportunities and networking and the effective utilization of funding availability, especially for large interregional infrastructural projects that would transform the region for the benefit of all neighboring states and their citizens.
