AmchamGR salutes the removal of Greece from the Watch List according to the 301 Special report for 2020. The decision was taken in light of Greece’s steps to address the widespread use of unlicensed software, the progress in online enforcement, and the introduction of legislation to impose fines on those possessing counterfeit products. This positive development for our country justifies the longstanding efforts of our Chamber and our IPR committee through continuous interventions and activities on the matters of intellectual property rights, products counterfeiting and illicit trade.
